School holiday activity: Photoprint workshop

To coincide with our exhibition Viewfinder: Photography from the 1970s to Now, we partnered with PhotoAccess ACT for a special school holiday workshop.

In this two hour workshop, participants had an opportunity to have a guided tour of the Viewfinder exhibition and experience producing a cyanotype print. Cyanotyping is a very early photo imaging process developed in the 1840s using the sun, and (harmless) chemical reaction patterns and shapes can be captured.

This workshop was suitable for children ages 8-15 years old and their families (or younger with parental supervision).

This event is presented by PhotoAccess ACT and the National Library of Australia.
